活動介紹：

1832年出生的安（Ann Reeves Jarvis）是一位有11個孩子的母親，當時的衛生環境不佳，她失去了自己一半以上的孩子，因此，她一生致力於推動公共衛生。在安去世之後，她的女兒安娜·賈維斯（ Anna Jarvis）希望能夠設立一個專屬、紀念母親的節日，在她的努力之下，美國國會也終於在1914年正式將5月的第2個星期日設立為母親節！

Ann Maria Reeves Jarvis (1832–1905) bore more than a dozen children. Most of the children died from diseases. Jarvis worked hard in her community to try to help other mothers and families avoid the tragedies she had suffered. Part of a national public health movement populated in large part by women reformers, Jarvis organized “Mothers’ Work Clubs” …
